Kyrgyz Flag
The latest Central Asian country to jump on the public protests/revolution/popular coup bandwagon is Kyrgyzstan, where protestors have stormed and/or taken control of several key buildings int he capital, Bishkek.
The West’s quandary, however, is quite intense but on a rather mundane issue. What color are we going to assign to this revolution? The Red Revolution is already taken (China, Russia). Yellow might be too (Burma).
Or, are we going to get creative? The Cyan Revolution? The Sapphire Revolution? The Beige Revolution? The Magenta Revolution? The Aureolin Revolution? The Cerulean Revolution?
I, for one, vote for the Ecru Revolution.
UPDATE: The Ecru Revolution has succeeded in toppling the government. President Kurmanbek Bakiyev has fled.
